My Lexy London Spring Picks

My Mum called me yesterday to tell me about a fantastic new brand she’d discovered and, knowing how much I like to shop her wardrobe, I should maybe get ahead this time and have a look myself. Little does she recognise that I am a practically a Jedi Master at finding beautiful, sustainable and design-focused brands through Instagram or scrolling online, so Mother Dearest, I know!

Lexi London was founded in 2019 and what I love is that everything they make has an inclusive approach to fit at the heart of the piece. They want to be size, age, and shape inclusive, making every woman feel their best. Colour and pattern are at the core of the designs, so the dresses are perfect to welcome in the (slightly*) warmer Spring days.

Here are my picks of the current collection that I think could be dressed up with a knit or jacket for chillier days, or worn with sandals equally well by those lucky enough to be escaping for some warmer sunshine!

While creating this list I ended up ordering the Pippa Soft Red. I’m not sure if its the lovely floaty style, or if being called ‘soft red’ makes me imagine the cotton to feel really gorgeous against my skin. Either way, I don’t think I’m going to regret it.

I’m kicking it off with an absolute beauty of a dress, from the very feminine and very elegant Johanna Sands.

Johanna’s dresses are all handmade by her, in gorgeous fabrics that drape the variations of the female body perfectly. The dresses range from a size 6-16, and do fit true to size. I’ve paired mine with some velvet mary-janes here, but sandals - flat or heeled depending on the occasion, would also work well.

This dress would be lovely for the Easter weekend as its a loose cut so it’ll be easy enough to get your lamb and spring veg in and out of the oven, or to throw your arms around visiting family members! The sky blue linen feels particularly festive and spring-like to me, and I keep imagining how put together I’ll look as I race to find one of the Easter Bunny’s eggs before my children scoff them all!

Johanna Sands is taking a short, and well deserved, break, but will be back to business as usual shortly. In the meantime, browse her Shop page as, I promise, you won’t be short on choices.
